4~12rep é uma boa faixa de repetições. Há exercícios específicos em que vou chegar a 15~20 repetições (geralmente passo pra aluna que tem dificuldade em exercícios de glúteo, como abdutora. Ou exercícios de abdômen). Lembrando que temos hipertrofia em até 30 repetições. Mas se você deseja maximizar ela, 4 à 12 é um bom range. E raramente passo de 3 séries VÁLIDAS em um determinado exercício. Pois a 4ª série já iria perder muito rendimento.
